Learn about the Master's programmes at the University of Potsdam – from bioinformatics to digital health to war and conflict studies – explore career prospects and find answers to personal questions about studying – all this is possible at the University of Potsdam's Master's Info Day on 13 March 2026. The event will take place entirely digitally via Zoom and YouTube in order to meet the demand for flexible information formats and to make it easier for international interested parties to participate.

Dr Britta van Kempen, Vice-President for Educational and European Affairs at the University of Potsdam, said of the event: "With the digital Master's Info Day, we are offering a platform that enables interested parties worldwide to find out first-hand about the excellent study conditions in Potsdam. We are delighted to be able to offer English and German-language Master's programmes that make Potsdam an attractive location for science both nationally and internationally."

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., staff from the departments and students will present their Master's programmes in Zoom sessions – from A for Applied Cultural Studies and Cultural Semiotics to Z for Contemporary History. The supporting programme will also include information on various topics related to studying in Zoom sessions and livestreams on YouTube. Together with the International Office, the Central Student Advisory Service will offer formats specifically aimed at international students and presented in English: applying for a visa for non-EU students, living in Potsdam and financing your studies. The Career Service will provide information on the topic of ‘Working in Germany’. There are also German-language sessions on applying for a Master's programme, studying with care responsibilities, disabilities or chronic illnesses, and hardship applications and disadvantage compensation.

In addition, there will be a Zoom consultation hour throughout the Master's Info Day, during which prospective students can address their individual questions directly to the University's Central Student Advisory Service. This will also be offered in German and English.

Registration is not required, only individual consultation slots must be booked in advance by email.
