The rapid development of artificial intelligence is reshaping far more than technology. It is transforming scientific practices and research processes, as well as higher education and the transfer of knowledge, at a pace that calls for sustained dialogue across disciplinary boundaries. Many of the questions and challenges arising from these developments can only be adequately understood and addressed through an interdisciplinary perspective that brings together mathematics and computer science with the natural, social, and human sciences.
The seminar series brings together scholars from diverse disciplinary backgrounds to foster sustained, scientifically grounded dialogue on current developments in artificial intelligence. It provides a space for interdisciplinary exchange and for exploring the implications of these developments for science, society, and education, as well as their broader and longer-term consequences.
